State Fire Marshal

We investigate fire incidents and arson, report and regulate school fire and emergency drills, and educate the public about fire safety.

Report

  • Report a Fire Incident

    The owner, manager, or operator of a building must report any accidental or incendiary fire within 24 hours. 

  • GFIRS

    Fire departments submit data quarterly via GFIRS.

  • Report Arson

    If you have information on arson, submit a tip to the Georgia Arson Control Program.

School Reports

All public and private K–12 schools in Georgia must conduct fire drills. School principals or their designee can report school drills with our online system.
