Insurance Commissioner Ralph Hudgens invites you to attend the 21st Savannah Area Hurricane Preparedness Expo on Saturday, June 9, 2018, in Savannah, Ga. The Expo is a free educational event with over 35 exhibitors to assist consumers in preparing for hurricane season.
Along with our partners, the Federal Alliance for Safe Homes (FLASH)
, WJCL 22 -TV
, and the Chatham County Emergency Management Agency
join us from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. under the “Big Tent” in the parking lot of the Home Depot located at 11180 Abercorn Street.
This year FEMA will provide a virtual reality experience called IMMERSED. This VR tool puts users at the center of a flood crisis, allowing them to assess damage in a community and see the benefits of mitigation first-hand. Through simple tasks, users experience a major flood event in a real, personal way.
Also, for all our coastal area racing fans, Nationwide Insurance will have the No.88 Chevy Cup Car and simulator on display.
We look forward to seeing you at this family-friendly event!
